PR Campaigns, the capstone course in the PR Kent Sequence, provides an opportunity to experience the practice of strategic public relations. Through this, I’ve gained hands on experience of public relations principles by creating a public relations plan for Cleveland Clinic.

Over the course of five months, my team of six, Brazen PR, served as a public relations agency that researched, planned and developed a strategic public relations and communications campaign to address Cleveland Clinic’s current perception issue. As Cleveland Clinic continues to expand its buildings and being the No. 2 hospital in the nation, Brazen PR’s challenge was to decrease negative perceptions among Cleveland Clinic’s backyard neighborhoods.

Among my team, I served as Account Executive and team leader. Within this role, I delegated tasks and coordinated effective teamwork strategies producing strong outcomes. Devoting over 1,200 individual hours into this campaign, Brazen PR was able to successfully present our Rooted in CLE plan to Cleveland Clinic executives and administrators in May 2018.
